Vintage custom BSA A65 project motorcycle.
This is not a matching-numbers restoration. It was built from the ground up using parts from several different BSA motorcycles and has a great old-school custom appearance.
Identification numbers:
Frame: A65L 16049
Engine: A65T 3717
The frame and engine numbers do not match.
The motorcycle is based around a BSA 650cc parallel-twin engine that was reportedly bored out to approximately 750cc. The displacement and internal engine modifications have not been independently verified.
Features include:
Custom-mounted BSA gas tank
Solo saddle
Custom rear-fender setup
High handlebars
Twin exhaust
Front disc-brake conversion
Vintage British custom styling
The motorcycle was assembled approximately two years ago and appears to be about 90–95% complete. It is not currently running and will require additional work before being roadworthy.
Known issues include leaking carburetors that will need to be rebuilt and some engine oil leakage. The gas tank was not originally designed for this particular frame but was custom-fitted and mounted securely.
Important information:
Does not run
No title
No registration or previous ownership paperwork
Bill of sale only
Nonmatching frame and engine numbers
Built using parts from several different BSA motorcycles
Exact year and original model are unknown
Engine reportedly converted from 650cc to approximately 750cc
Carburetors need rebuilding
Some engine oil leakage
Mechanical and electrical systems have not been fully tested
Sold strictly as-is, where-is
Because no title or registration paperwork is included, the buyer is solely responsible for determining whether and how the motorcycle can be titled or registered in their state. No representation or guarantee is made regarding registration eligibility.
This would make a great winter project, vintage British custom, display motorcycle or starting point for someone familiar with classic BSA motorcycles.
Located in New Milford, Connecticut. Local pickup only. The buyer is responsible for pickup and transportation. I will cooperate with a motorcycle transporter arranged and paid for by the buyer.
Please examine all photographs carefully and ask any questions before purchasing or submitting an offer.
